Focus on 5 (our plans for the future)
Commitments made to date:
Committing households to date: 439
Total pledged to date: $2,013,343
Our goal: $3,000,000+
Surpassing $1,400,000, we have now raised enough to reach our first goal, paying off the debt on our recently purchased 44 acres of land! Praise God! Help us now reach our next goal as we seek to make improvements on our present site, especially a Youth Drop-In Center.
Here are the facts:
This is a $3,000,000 campaign with the threefold objectives of:
- Paying Down our Debt – Which includes paying off the land we own on the corner of Bailey and Manning.
- Building a Youth Drop-in Center between the Fireside and Genesis rooms.
- Update our facility to be more community welcoming and accessibly for our growing disabilities ministry.
Here’s our motivation:
- Statistics say that about 60% of the youth in Woodbury have no relationship with a church, let alone Jesus.
- We want to be about reaching those in our community who do not know Jesus.
- We desire to be a welcoming and safe place for those in need.
- These additions will also allow more space for our other growing ministries, i.e., Preschool, Disabilities Ministry, Soaring Eagles (50+ group), Sunday School and many more.
- This will also allow us to open our space for more community activities.
FAQ’s
What are we going to do with the land in Afton?
- There have been a lot of speculation and many ideas have been floated about what could happen on/with the land in Afton. What we know right now is that we don’t know. This is a time of preparation. We know that we are in need of more space, we also have a deep desire to reach our community. Over the next few years we will be praying about and searching out what would be the best use of that property.
