- Give us more opportunities to meet the needs of those in our community.
- Provide education and resources to encourage self-sufficiency.
- Year round collection and distribution of food, clothing and gifts.
- Expand the work done by the Christian Cupboard, and raise its visibility.
- Work with local agencies and other ministries to serve the East St. Paul community need.
What is God doing?
- Blesses some with more than others.
- Gives us the poor with whom we can share.
- Fills us with His love and compassion.
What is WLC doing?
- Researching ways we can help the poor.
- Establishing ministries in the East Metro area.
- Looking for God’s people to get involved.
Primary types of ministry to the East Metro area:
- Food, clothing, and gifts
- Financial aid
- Education
- Transportation
- Housing/home repair
What can YOU do?
- Get connected through Servant Ministries.
- Or, contact a member of the committee.
- Participate in a program close to your heart.
- Serve a neighbor in need, with God’s help.
Examples of current opportunities:
- Journey to Financial Freedom – WLC class
- Loaves & Fishes – serve meals and clean up
- Landfall - tutoring, mentoring children
- Habitat for Humanity - home building
- Angel Tree – toy drive at Christmas
- Battered Women’s Shelter – meals, mentoring
- Christian Closet – distribute clothing
- Christian Cupboard – food shelf at WLC
- …as well as auto maintenance, home repair, shuttle service, tax preparation, prayer support…
