Merger Approved!
In November initial discussion began with Risen Christ Lutheran Church in Stillwater about a possible merger where Risen Christ would become a site of Woodbury Lutheran Church. In January both congregations gave approval to begin a feasibility study to see if a merger is possible. The feasibility team completed its work and recommended that the merger move forward. We are happy to announce that the voters in both congregations have approved moving forward with the merger.
What Does This Mean?
Risen Christ Lutheran Church will formally dissolve and Woodbury Lutheran Church will assume all spiritual, financial, and legal corporate responsibilities and liabilities of Risen Christ, sharing in a partnership of worship, growth, outreach, and care.
An implementation team is now working on the details of the transition.

July 1, 2012
Targeted date for our two churches uniting operationally with a legal merger.
August 19, 2012
First worship service at the new site as a second worshipping campus of Woodbury Lutheran Church.
September 9, 2012
Sending for Woodbury Lutheran members and friends moving to the new campus.
September 16, 2012
Full Sunday worship and study schedule begins on the new campus with a welcome of new members and friends on the new campus.
