So, do you want to go?
Workers are still needed to provide hurricane rebuilding help in Mississippi. Our work is in Ocean Springs/Biloxi area. Youth 16 and over and adults are invited to join us.
Work is concentrated on new building projects and rebuilding damaged properties. Teams carpool and stay at their choice of two relief partner organizations in Ocean Springs. Travel arrangements include helping with carpools, travel directions, housing on the road and housing in Missisippi (several housing options available), plus emergency support for weather-related travel issues.
We also provide gift cards to assist homeowners with their needs, access to tools in Mississippi, training for team leaders and facilitation of a team organization meeting.
Groups may choose to have drivers reimbursed from Katrina Hope Team Support fund with suggested $100/person donation to Team Support fund.
Trip Dates
Scheduled trip dates and people or groups that have expressed interest in that trip:
- March 9 - 15, 2008
Churches or other groups may also elect new trip dates. Groups wishing to fly in may register a "flying" trip, but will need to make their own flight and ground transportation plans from Gulfport/Biloxi airport. Flight and rental vehicles are at your own expense.
Below you will find a sign-up form. We encourage you to take 5 minutes so that we can get a better idea of the trip dates and times that you are interested in. Also to get your contact information including phone number and e-mail to include you on any information we are sending out. This form will not commit you to a trip but will help us get a better idea of numbers and interest and if we need to offer more or less trips.
