FEATURED ARTIST

Debra Archer was born with scissors in her hands and a song in her heart. She became a Christian at a young age, determined to serve Him with her life, was trained as a musician and received a degree in Music Education from the University of Minnesota. Deb discovered quilting about 20 years ago, and because of her extensive experience with sewing, immediately fell in love with the craft. She also discovered quickly that she wanted to do something more than traditional quilting. Deb takes scripture, traditional quilt patterns, and reworks it to become her own art. She has tried to use the creative gifts God has given her to glorify Him in her art quilts. Deb always hopes they also say something of the glory of God to the viewer. She thanks God every day that He's given her the opportunity and ability to create!
