Sunday Pathways - Adult class offered 9:30 - 10:25 a.m.
- Summer Sanctuary Class Begins June 6! Hot Potatoes 2010 - The summer brings the return to the Sunday morning Hot Potatoes - our Pastors address various topics on the minds of Christians. Each week is an independent study. Come to one or don't miss a thing, come to all!
These classes are examples of offerings for adults during the school year on Sunday mornings:
-
Sanctuary Bible Study "Essential New Testament Words": This spring our Sanctuary Bible Studies focus on "Essential New Testament Words." Each Sunday, 9:30-10:30 am, beginning March 7, participants will look at a key word in the New Testament, studying its background, Old Testament roots, partner words, and significance for our walk with Christ. Join us for this large group Bible study, and be sure to bring your Bible.
-
New Member Class: Interested in joining the family at Woodbury Lutheran Church? This class is your introduction to who we are, our values and what makes us, us. Along the way you will meet others, perhaps new friends, which are joining also. You will be introduced to many of the various ministries and even get an invite to a free dinner! This is the only Sunday adult class requiring registration. Call Mary Lehman for more or to register 651.739.5144 x201.
-
Fireproof Your Marriage: Fireproof Your Marriage will challenge you to love better, to love first and to love for a lifetime! It is founded on Biblical principles for strong, God-centered, lifelong marriages. Engage in a 6-session study, using video clips from FIREPROOF, along with thought provoking discussion questions and individual and couple's devotionals.
The 6 sessions are:
He Said/She Said
He First Loved Us
Love for a Lifetime
Breaking Free
Forgiveness
A Better Way of Loving
-
Guy's Study - When Worldviews Collide
Perhaps more than ever before, our culture is being influenced by non-Christian belief systems. Here's a new small-group study written by a former Muslim designed to develop a Christian's theology and doctrine for the purpose of building confidence in personal evangelism and engaging their culture with absolute biblical truth. In addition, it helps adults identify ways false teachings make an impact on our society and to take actions that promote a biblical worldview. Other faiths covered include Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, and Buddhist. It meets in the Ephesians Room.
- Sunday Faith & Friends: This new name says exactly what they do: We meet on Sunday to talk about our faith in Jesus and spend time with friends. (Formerly known as Friendship Group.) Facilitated by Jeanne Dicke - meets in the Joshua Room
