Independent Modules
The independent modules offer flexibility with your schedule and provide you with additional choices. Independent modules can be taken to either makeup a course, get ahead in your study schedule or take a family- approach in completion of the Foundations program. There are both Required courses and Elective courses offered as Independent studies.

Holy Spirit and Life Everlasting 305
(Independent Course completed with a parent to fulfill a required module)
This is an independent module where a student will explore the 3rd Article of the Apostles’ Creed & the Office of the Keys, looking at such issues as who the Holy Spirit is and what His presence is in our lives, what the Great Commission is and how that applies to us. We will also look at Revelations, resurrection, end times, judgment day, heaven and hell, and other world views.
Memorization: 3rd Article &meaning and Matthew 28:19-20
Prayer 301
(Independent Course completed with a parent to fulfill a required module)
This is set up as a daily study exploring prayer and spiritual disciplines in daily life. There are 5 weeks of daily questions to help answer questions like: What is the importance of prayer? How does one pray? What are the benefits of prayer and a devotional life? Each student will receive an individual packet that they must complete and turn in to complete this course.
Stewardship 311F
(Independent Course completed with a parent to fulfill a required module)
This is an independent module on the study of what God has given us and others, and our response to those gifts. Family is given a packet to work on together.
Memorization: Commandments 7, 9 & 10
Lord’s Supper 113 (5 Weeks) (Family Course)
Many students complete this course in 6th grade at Woodbury Lutheran. If you have not completed this course yet you will need to sign up to receive an Independent study packet or contact Jane Dibbern to participate in the class for the 8 weeks prior to Holy week.
Book Club E217 (Independent Elective Course with a mentor)
This module is set up so that a student with the help of a mentor will go through a scripture book and be guided through the books meaning.
Dinner and 5 Movies E215F (Independent Elective Course with Family)
Participant will pick 5 movies off an approved movie list and that person and their family will sit down at their convenience and watch the movies and complete the discussion guide that goes with that movie. Once all 5 movies are completed participant turns in for course credit.
