Welcoming and inviting new residents to experience the love and good news of Jesus Christ.
When you moved into your home, were you welcomed by anyone into your neighborhood? How did that visit (or not being visited) make you feel? You now have the opportunity to make sure that the new residents in your neighborhood feel welcome. Porch Light Ministry, a ministry of Woodbury Lutheran Church, will equip you, "Average Joe," with the resources needed to welcome those who have moved into your neighborhood. Showing hospitality to your new neighbors is a quick, non-confrontational way to serve them and Jesus. The spiritual gift of "evangelism" is not required nor is it needed. A love for Christ is the only prerequisite.
Here is a breakdown of how you can serve:

| Design Team | Assemble the welcome gifts that will be distributed | 1 hour/month |
| Porch Lights | Delivering the welcome gifts to those who have moved into your neighborhood | 1½ hours/month |
| 2nd Touch Team | Writing a personal note on an impact card that will be sent to each new resident as a follow-up. | 1 hour/month |
