Project Home is coming to WLC in March!
Project Home is a program that works with area congregations to provide overnight shelter for families facing temporary homelessness. This March, we will host up to 20 guests (homeless parents with children) overnight in our church. Each night a minimum of four volunteers are needed: two evening hosts and two overnight hosts.
- Evening Shelter Hosts help from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. by greeting shelter guests, serving a healthy snack, playing and reading with children, talking with parents.
- Overnight Shelter Hosts help from 8:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (weekdays) or 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. (weekends) by sleeping overnight, waking guests in the morning, serving a light breakfast (provided), and tidying up after the guests depart for the day center.
- Snack Providers help by providing evening snacks.
