Via de Cristo
You may know it as Cursillo®, but the Lutheran form of Cursillo® is called Via de Cristo (Way of Christ).
Via de Cristo is a 3-day spiritual retreat program in which Woodbury Lutheran is very active. Nearly 300 Woodbury Lutheran members who have gone through Via de Cristo, including staff members Pastor Dean Nadasdy, Pastor Tom Pfotenhauer, Pastor Deane Schuessler, Mary Lehman, Mark Stutelberg, and Nancy Schubbe.
It is one of the greatest showings of God's grace an individual can experience. The retreat uplifts a person and brings him/her closer to God in a very positive and fun-filled way. Many of our members remain active in the Via de Cristo community after attending.
After their weekend, members are encouraged to form or join a renewal group (small groups of men or women who meet regularly to study, pray, share and help one another in their quest for spiritual development).
To attend, you must be sponsored by a VdC member. Don't worry though, most members are anxious to sponsor.
Further information can be found on the Minnesota Via de Cristo web site, from Frank Janssen (WLC Via de Cristo liaison) or from WLC members who have attended Via de Cristo.
