The 2017 Middle School (MS) Mission trip
Where: Duluth, MN

What: We serve with an organization called Youthworks (twin cities based and has locations all over the world): We’ll stay at a church that graciously opens up their building to Youthworks for the summer, we’ll follow the leadership of the Youthworks staff (usually 4-5 Jesus-loving college aged young adults who have been trained and equipped for the task) and serve the community in ways that they’ve asked for help. In the past we’ve worked at elder care homes, food shelves, organizations that work with the homeless population of Duluth, yard work, kid camps, salvation army, etc.
How: 6 trusted, background-checked, awesome adults will drive vans/SUVs to Duluth.

For more information please contact: Lindsey Schmidt.
- When is my final payment due?
All mission trip payments need to be submitted prior to our departure (June 18th). We do take into account that the Garage Sale funds may not all be in at that point.
- How do we apply for a scholarship?
Email or call Patrick or Lindsey, these funds are distributed as needed and we ask families to sign up for fundraisers and to help with the Peach sale in August as a way to help us always to be able to offer support to families for WLC youth activities.
- Where do we submit payment and when?
Mission trip payments can be made as it works for you. Please turn in payments in an envelope with the participants name to the youth desk at the Valley Creek campus or to Molly or Sarah's box at Oak Hill.

We will be sleeping on the floor on air mattresses at a church or YMCA and we will be eating there as well. We shower at a local school or YMCA.
