Sixteen youth and three adults traveled to the border town of Rock Island. Our youth were divided into three crews that went to: In Touch Adult Day Center, "The Center"—a skate church in Davenport, IA, the John Lewis Café where they served meals and worked in a food cupboard, the "Treat House" where they played with kids while their parents were at work, and the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center Building where they served meals and cleaned. We were all greatly impacted by the reality that so many of our neighbors live in poverty and are unable to provide meals for their families. God revealed himself daily through these people we met and our lives are forever changed.
