We have opportunities for all sorts of SHAPEs: SHAPE teachers, SHAPE guides (caring for and connecting people to ministry), administrative support (database, ministry catalog), communications (newsletter writing and more) and Care Callers (if you enjoy talking with people on the phone, you'll love this!) If these opportunities interest you, contact Cheri Frost or send an email:

A New Bundle of Joy
Do you love babies? Would you like to show the love of Christ to a new mom in need? If your answers are “yes,” then Woodbury Lutheran’s new ministry “A New Bundle of Joy” is for you. There are three ways you could help:
- Put together "A New Bundle of Joy" baby gift bag or purchase individual items for the bag. Each bag includes a 0-3 month sleeper, a receiving blanket, a baby toy, a card and a gift bag to put all of the items in and drop it off at the Welcome Center. NOTE: Any additional items such as baby lotion or shampoo, a baby comb and brush, a pacifier, a handmade baby blanket, etc. can be included also.
- Donate money and someone will do the shopping for you. Put your donation in an envelope labeled “A New Bundle of Joy” and take it to the church office or put it in the offering plate.
These thoughtful gifts from a member of Woodbury Lutheran are gifts that will keep on giving, as these gifts will be passed on to others as each baby outgrows them. For additional information or questions, please contact Dianne Radman at dradman@localnet.com or 651-436-5956, Jill Hodne at jkhodne@yahoo.com or 651-730-9462 or Katie Dinsmore at kbspitfire@hotmail.com or 651-488-8635.
Prayer Shawl/Prayer Scarf Ministry
Do you love to knit and/or crochet? If your answer is “yes,” then Woodbury Lutheran’s new Prayer Shawl/Prayer Scarf Ministry is for you. The prayer shawls for women and the prayer scarves for men would be made by members of Woodbury Lutheran. These wonderful handmade gifts would be presented to senior adults 85-years-old and older along with a prayer “blessing” on their birthdays. The prayer shawls and prayer scarves are also used by WLC’s Stephen Ministry, which is a confidential ministry in which one person reaches out to another in a time of crisis. The prayer shawls and prayer scarves would also be given to people of any age who are terminally ill. Very easy patterns have been developed that can be found on the WLC website. Please put your completed shawl or scarf into a bag with your name on it and place it in the box by the Welcome Center. If you have any questions about this new ministry, please contact Dianne Radman at dradman@localnet.com or 651-436-5956.
