MIDDLE SCHOOL (6th-8th) MISSION EXPERIENCE - July 19-24, 2020

WHO: Current 6th-8th graders

WHEN: July 19-24, 2020

WHERE: Duluth, MN

COST: $375 per student.   Registration will close on February 15th. If you register and we are full, you'll be added to the waiting list and your deposit will be refunded if no room opens up.

WHAT:  We serve with an organization called Youthworks (twin cities based and has locations all over the world): We’ll stay at a church that graciously opens up their building to Youthworks for the summer, we’ll follow the leadership of the Youthworks staff (usually 4-5 Jesus-loving college aged young adults who have been trained and equipped for the task) and serve the community in ways that they’ve asked for help. In the past we’ve worked at elder care homes, food shelves, organizations that work with the homeless population of Duluth, yard work, kid camps, salvation army, etc.

HOW: We’ll be taking large SUVs and minivans.  If you have a vehicle you’re willing to let us use, you’ll get a $150 credit towards your trip!!!

WHY: You should come on a Mission Experience because it is a great way to grow, to discover what it looks/feels like to be fully focused on your relationship with Jesus and serving Him while you serve others.  Mission Experiences are a blast. We have opportunities to be more courageous, more selfless, and use our gifts to bless others. They’re also a great way to get to know more folks around here.

REGISTER: Registration starts 11/7/19. Register at the link  below.  We have 20 youth spaces and they’ll fill up quick!  There is a $50 deposit that is due when you register. Registration will close on February 15, 2020. If you register and we are full, you'll be added to the waiting list and your deposit will be refunded if no room opens up. The full payment needs to be made by June 1, 2020. There are fundraisers: Easter Breakfast & the Garage Sale.  As always, let us know if money is the reason you’re hesitating, we have resources to help!

LEADERS:  Lindsey Schmidt and several others to be announced.
