Youth Summer Mission Trip Meetings
The Quad Cities and Chicago Mission Trips will hold their next meeting on April 29 at the VC Campus. Quad Cities trip participants and parents will meet from 1-2pm in the Isaiah room. Chicago trip participants meet from 1-2:30pm in the Bridge. Chicago trip parents please join their meeting from 2-2:30pm. Sign up Info: Chicago registration will close soon, sign up at wlcyouth.org. MIDDLE SCHOOL (6th-8th) MISSION TRIP TO QUAD CITIES - July 15-20, 2018
WHO: Current 6th-8th graders
WHEN: July 15-20, 2018
WHERE: Quad Cities (Davenport, IA, Bettendorf, IA, Moline, IL, & Rock Island, IL)
COST: $350 per student. Registration will close on February 15th. If you register and we are full, you'll be added to the waiting list and your deposit will be refunded if no room opens up.
WHAT: We will be serving with Youthworks, a twin cities based non-profit who sends teams of college students and recent college grads to cities all over the world to run mission trips. We will be serving local organizations that serve folks who need help. We’re going to be helping with kids programs, at elder care facilities, possibly painting or organizing, we’ll work at food pantries and in any other ways that are requested.
HOW: We’ll be taking large SUVs and minivans down. Hopefully 6! If you have a vehicle you’re willing to let us use, you’ll get a $150 credit towards your trip!!!
WHY: You should come on a mission trip because it is a great way to grow, to discover what it looks/feels like to be fully focused on your relationship with Jesus and serving Him while you serve others. Mission trips are a blast. We have opportunities to be more courageous, more selfless, and use our gifts to bless others. They’re also a great way to get to know more folks around here.
REGISTER: Registration starts 10/26/17. Register at
WLCYOUTH.ORG. We have 29 youth spaces and they’ll fill up quick! There is a $50 deposit that is due when you register. Registration will close on February 15th. If you register and we are full, you'll be added to the waiting list and your deposit will be refunded if no room opens up. The full payment needs to be made by July 1st, 2018. There are fundraisers: Easter Breakfast & the Garage Sale. As always, let us know if money is the reason you’re hesitating, we have resources to help!

HIGH SCHOOL (8th-12th) MISSION TRIP TO CHICAGO - July 6-14, 2018
WHO: Current 8th-12th graders
WHEN: July 6-14, 2018
WHERE: West Chicago, IL
COST: $600 per student
WHAT: We’ll be serving through an organization called Lead222. Lead will connect us with various service projects during the day and will guide us through worship, Bible studies, and leadership training at night! Our service will be quite varied and will be clearer as the trip approaches, but expect that we’ll be carrying Jesus love to all kinds of people in many different ways.
Our lodging during the week will be in a large church in the western suburbs of Chicagoland. Additionally we’ll take a couple of days on the front end of the trip to bond as a group (likely at a camp) and a day in the middle of the week to play tourist in this great city!
HOW: We’ll be taking 7 or 8 large SUVs and minivans down. If you have a vehicle you’re willing to let us use, you’ll get a $150 credit towards your trip!
WHY: This trip will be a chance to step out of the normal flow of your life and focus on following Jesus and growing closer to him. It’s also a great chance to make new friends, go somewhere new, and have a blast with other believers!

The full payment needs to be made by July 1st, 2018. There are fundraisers: The Garage Sale, Doughnut Sales, and the Easter Breakfast.
