June 25-27, July 23-25, and August 13-15
What: A serventure is an intentional serving experience that challenges us to grow as Disciples, build relationships, and put our faith into action. There are a wide variety of serving opportunities available: projects you can do from home, things you can do with your neighbors, things that require special skills, projects that work well for families with children, and great opportunities to connect with amazing ministries around our community.
Why: We want to be growing to be more and more like Jesus. We want to follow His model of seeking to serve and build relationships. Everyone can use a helping hand sometimes.
Who can register to serve: Households, families, small groups, neighbors, friends. Folks of all ages!
When & What: You get to choose! There are two Serventure tracks: You can Choose your own SERVENTURE and work as a family or group to find a date that works well for you to set aside a few hours to serve.
OR you can Choose one of these pre-planned SERVENTURES that we've found all around our area with organizations that WLC is connected with. There will be specific opportunities spread out over 3 weekends this summer (June 25-27, July 23-25, Aug 13-15).
You can register for as many serving opportunities as you & your chosen crew want.
How: We'd love for everyone to register, whether you are choosing your own serventure or if you're choosing one of the pre-planned serventures. As we get more specifics about sites and locations, we'll post that information here. After you register we'll send you options of serving sites and locations that match your availability and/or desired type of service.
We have had over 150 folks register to participate in a Serventure so far this summer and we are excited for more to experience this opportunity!
