Welcome to Tiny Home 2.0!
Our congregation is partnering with Settled to build our second Tiny Home! This time we’ll be building it on our Valley Creek Campus parking lot. Construction begins the week of August 15 and we plan to work 2 days/evenings each week and hope to finish the build in late October.
This is more than a building project—it’s a ministry and we need help in three areas: the Prayer Team, Build Team, and Hospitality Team. Follow these links below to join a team and/or get more information from the Team Lead. Schedules for each team will vary, and each will offer flexibility:
Prayer Team – this an opportunity to pray together and individually for many aspects of this project, as well as the challenge of chronic homelessness in our community. Contact Andrew at .
Build Team – swing a hammer, use power tools, move materials or clean the construction site! We need all skill levels to build this 250-square-foot home! Contact Dale at or Chuck at .
Hospitality/Food Team – our building and prayer teams can’t get the job done without calories! This team will provide snacks, lunches and a welcoming space for workers and guests. Contact Bonnie at .
What is Settled?
Settled is a Christ-centered ministry that helps chronically homeless people become part of a community off the streets. Their unique approach addresses multiple problems traditional “homeless” programs overlook. Check out their website below, it provides lots of information about their approach and has a great FAQ section:
